A new regulation on roaming came into force on 15th June 2017.

What is roaming?

The word “roaming” refers to data whenever you use your smartphone or tablet outside Luxembourg. Roaming can often be responsible for additional costs, because you’re using a partner provider’s network, and you’re charged for this.

The evolution of roaming in Europe

Under the new regulation, you can now make calls, send texts or use the Web from any European Union country with a single tariff. However, operators can apply a cap on the amount of data that can be used in roaming mode - known as a “fair usage policy” - using a compulsory formula.
