What should you be wary of on the Internet?
On both fixed and mobile Internet there are risks to the protection of your personal data and your devices.
Be careful when you browse the Internet. Many sites may contain viruses and malware that can render your device unusable. Only consult sites you completely trust.
Also, beware of phishing (a type of Internet fraud). This is when someone, by means of an e-mail or website, passes off for a company or relative and asks you to provide personal data (bank details, customer account number, passwords, etc.).
Never provide your personal data, never click on links (to prevent hacking) and never reply to such messages!
A few examples of phishing (translated from the original e-mails in French):

Choosing the right password:
If you need to choose a password for an app, follow these tips:
To secure the access to your connection, avoid using very simple passwords such as series (qwertzu, 123456789), first names, or even place names. Choose a long password (at least 8 characters) with a combination of characters (digits, uppercase and lowercase letters, symbols, special characters, etc.).
Choose a password that’s easy to remember.
How do I keep my Wi-Fi connection secure?
Network devices are often the target of attacks. To keep your Internet connection secure, it's important to carry out the updates offered by your smartphone, laptop, etc. on a daily basis.
Your home router and its repeaters also need to be updated frequently. By default, all modems supplied by Tango are updated automatically. To ensure that accessories such as Wi-Fi repeaters and CPLs (Internet via electricity) also benefit from this function, the automatic update option of these devices can be activated on the fritz.box interface.
More detailed information on how to activate the automatic update option is available via the following link.
