How Does Smartphone Trade-In Work at Tango?

Trading in your old phone is quick and straightforward. Simply follow these three steps.

1. Get Your Smartphone Evaluated

Visit the Tango Shop of your choice with your smartphone.

One of our advisors will inspect your device, check that it is fully functional, and assess its overall condition. Based on the model, condition and current market value, you'll receive a smartphone trade-in offer.

2. Accept the Offer or Request a Quote

Once your device has been evaluated, you have two options:

• Complete the trade-in immediately by handing over your smartphone.
• Request a trade-in quote and take some time to decide.

Need time to back up or transfer your data? No problem. Your trade-in value is guaranteed for 7 days, provided you return the device to the same store in the same condition and with all security locks removed.

The device must be returned to the Tango Shop where the quote was issued.

3. Receive Your Payment or Save on Your Next Smartphone

Once your trade-in has been approved, you can choose to:

• Receive the trade-in amount by bank transfer.
• Use the value as an instant discount when purchasing a new smartphone.

If you choose to apply the trade-in value towards a new device, the discount cannot exceed the purchase price of the new smartphone. If your trade-in value is higher than the remaining amount to pay, the difference cannot be refunded or carried over.

How to Prepare Your Smartphone for Trade-In

Before visiting a Tango Shop, make sure you complete the following steps:

• Back up your personal data, including photos, videos, contacts, documents and apps.
• Remove all accounts linked to your device (Apple ID, Google Account or any other security accounts).
• Disable any activation locks, such as Activation Lock or Factory Reset Protection (FRP).
• Reset your smartphone to its factory settings.

These steps are required before your smartphone can be accepted for trade-in.
