First Steps and Configuration of my Mobile

SIM card

> What information is available on a SIM card?

Your SIM card has a PIN code, a PUK code and the number of your SIM card. The PIN code ensures secure access to your mobile. You can change it via your mobile’s menu. The PUK code is used if you have entered an incorrect PIN code 3 times to unblock your card. The PUK code cannot be changed. This is why we strongly advise you to keep your SIM card, without the chip.

MMS

> Can all mobile phones send and receive MMS messages?

No, you need to check that your mobile phone has this function.

> How can I read MMS messages I receive on the Tango.lu site?

Your mobile phone may not be compatible or hasn’t been configured to receive MMS message. If so, when another person send you an MMS message, you receive an SMS message with a 6-digit code which you need to enter in the MMS viewer interface. You can view your MMS message up to three days after receipt. After that, your MMS message is automatically deleted.

> How can I send an MMS message to an e-mail address?

To send an MMS message to an e-mail address, just enter the e-mail address instead of the mobile number when you’re ready to send.

> How do I set up MMS messages on my mobile?

When you insert your SIM card into your mobile, you will receive several SMS configuration messages. Follow the instructions contained in these SMS messages to set up the MMS function.
If you have a BlackBerry or HTC smartphone, please refer to the user guides in the First Steps and Configuration of my Smartphone section.
Don’t forget to send a first MMS message to be able to receive others.
If you don’t receive the configuration SMS message or you want to configure MMS messages later, you have two options:

- manual configuration

- automatic configuration tool

Internet Mobile

> I want to use mobile Internet on my mobile phone. What do I have to do?

Once you insert your SIM card into your mobile, you will receive several SMS configuration messages. Follow the instructions contained in these SMS messages to set up mobile Internet.
If you have a BlackBerry or HTC smartphone, please refer to the user guides in the First Steps and Configuration of my Smartphone section.

> Does mobile Internet work abroad?

Tango has over 220 Roaming agreements with foreign operators providing mobile Internet. So you can use this service on our foreign partner networks without changing the configuration settings of your mobile.
Before going abroad, check that your subscription includes one of the Tango Data Roaming options.
