Internet connection problems (with speed, signal detection, connectivity, etc.) are often linked to your Wi-Fi modem.
For such problems, follow these steps:

Step 1: Check the Wi-Fi

  1. On your computer, make sure you are looking for the name you defined beforehand for your Wi-Fi network.
  2. Check if you are within reach of your modem. The closer you are to your box, the better the connection will be.
  3. If you have an ADSL subscription, make sure you have correctly installed the filters on all the telephone sockets.
  4. Check if the Wi-Fi peripheral of your computer is activated.

If, after taking these steps, you still don't detect your Wi-Fi network or still can't browse the Internet in good conditions, take the following steps, according to your modem (do a test after each step).

Step 2: Check your modem

  • Thomson Speedtouch
  1. Unplug your modem and plug it in again, and make sure the Wireless light is on;
  2. If, after you reconnect, your Internet browsing is not restored, connect your computer to your modem using an Ethernet cable.

If you still don't have Internet access, it means there's a problem with your Wi-Fi. In that case, please follow the instructions in Step 1 again. Otherwise, go on to the next step.

  1. Check your installation.

Make sure the Ethernet cable or USB is plugged in to the Ethernet or USB slot on your modem.
Check whether the blue cable from the Speedtouch modem is connected to the ‘'Internet'' port of your Wi-Fi and not to one of the other 4 ports. One of the routers may have become blocked. Turn off the routers and turn them on again.
